Hiking is the absolute best way to experience the rugged natural beauty of Texas, and Canyon of the Eagles Resort is the absolute best place to start your Texas hiking journey. Make it a day of discovery on our 14 miles of designated hiking trails. Whatever you wish to see - wildlife, wildflowers, lakeside lowlands or breathtaking vistas - the astonishing diversity of the Hill Country is yours to explore.
The trails at Canyon of the Eagles are different from your typical hiking resort. Our trails form a network of loops allowing you to customize the duration and difficulty of your journey. Our property maps and easy-to-understand marker system help you to maximize your hiking time, ensuring you always get the most from your day out on the reserve.
To ensure a safe and comfortable hike, we recommend bringing the following items:

Not a do-it-yourselfer? Not to worry. At our Texas Hill Country Resort we're proud to offer the expertise of our Traveling Naturalist. We host several fun and fact-filled hiking programs every week delving into the abundant natural heritage of central Texas. Great for the kids, too!
Day Use Fees
Our 940-acre nature reserve makes an excellent day trip whether traveling as a family, couple or just seeking an invigorating solitary hike of the Texas Hill Country. Our day use fees are:
- $6 per person per day
- Children ages 10 and under admitted free
